Learning Goals
Reading: We will explore many types of books and learn that one way of reading is to read the pictures to tell a story! We will practice this skill by taking a picture walk and making meaning with the illustrations before reading a story.
Writing: We will learn Kindergarten coloring expectations: color in the lines, color all the white space, make sure colors make sense, and use many colors for extra detail. We will illustrate pictures to tell a story.
Math: We are learning about measurable attributes for height, length, and weight. We will compare 2 objects using words like "shorter" and "taller."
Science: We are learning about physical properties to describe a given object. We will describe and sort objects according to color, shape, size, and texture.
Social Studies: Students are learning what it means to be a citizen who takes responsibility at home and at school.
