About Mrs. Ludwig
My name is Nathalie Ludwig, and l have been happily teaching Kindergarten since 2014! l've had the privilege of being a WashinGTon Wizard for several years now, and l feel so lucky to be a part of this amazing school community. l graduated from East Carolina University and married my high school sweetheart in 2014! We have two awesome dogs who keep us pretty busy outside of school- a Golden Retriever named Macy and a Yorkshire Terrier named Cooper. To name a couple more fun facts about me- l enjoy music and singing, and l love to be outdoors!
l have been working in the world of Kindergarten since l began teaching, and l absolutely love it! l am passionate about working with young learners and seeing all they are capable of. To create a class of 21st century learners, it is important that students begin to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, think critically, and display learning through creativity, even at the young age of 5-6 years old! l use the twitter hashtag #kinderscan, and the movement is quickly spreading, as others around our state and world are also learning all that these little ones can do. At the core of our classroom community is the concept of growth mindset: believing you can do something, even if it is challenging. For students to create digital projects, invent in makerspace, explore their passions through genius hour, among other exciting challenges, it all starts with a mindset: having the confidence to take risks without fear of mistakes! We're all in this together!
l can't tell you how excited l am for the start of this school year, and l look forward to watching each of your children grow and succeed in Kindergarten! Here's to a fun, exciting, and successful school year!
