Reading: We are learning about the relationships between the text and illustrations of a story. We can even read a book by reading the pictures! After reading, we can "read" the story again by retelling it to someone!
Writing: We are still practicing our awesome illustration skills. As we learn about Washington's STAR expectations, we are creating a book of illustrations to teach others about STAR. We are getting more comfortable illustrating to tell a story.
Math: We are practicing rote counting, numbers, and quantities in our daily math routines. We are learning to compare objects based on their length, height, and weight, as well as sort items based on common properties.
Science: We are identifying and comparing the properties of different objects and materials.
Social Studies: We are learning how to be a good citizen and follow expectations at home and school. We have read exciting stories like No, David and How do Dinosaurs Go to School to learn about examples and non-examples of being a good citizen at home and school.
